What must you know before going to America?

Social Security Card / Social Security Number

From the moment you arrived in the States, it is very important that you apply for the Social Security Card at one of the U.S. Social Security Offices. Within 2-3 weeks you shall be issued a card, with a unique identification number, a 9 digit number, the equivalent of a CNP. Without this number and this card you cannot cash you paychecks from your employers, therefore, the quicker you get it, the better!
